Screenpane is made by a one-person studio and sold through Polar Software, Inc., which acts as merchant of record — Polar's own terms govern the checkout itself. These terms cover the app.

Your licence

A lifetime licence is a one-time payment of £29for a personal licence to use Screenpane on Macs you own and use yourself. It is not a subscription and nothing renews. Don't redistribute the app or share your licence key.

The monthly plan is £7a month for the same licence, billed each month until you cancel. Cancel any time from the customer portal; the licence works until the end of the month you've paid for, then export and upload lock. Projects you made stay on your Mac and still open.

Updates

Updates are included with your purchase at no extra charge.

Refunds

14 days from purchase, no questions asked. Email hello@screenpane.com from the address you bought with.

On the monthly plan this covers your first payment. Later months aren't refunded; cancel before the next one and you won't be charged again.

Your content

Screenshots, captions, and metadata you create with Screenpane are yours. You are responsible for what you upload to App Store Connect and for complying with Apple's terms when you do.

Warranty, plainly

Screenpane is provided “as is.” I work hard to keep it reliable, but it comes with no warranty of any kind, and liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for it. If something is wrong, email me and I will try to fix it — and if I can't, the refund policy above applies.
